When Penny Chenery hired his son, 'Roger Laurin', to train and manage her stables, he helped return her business to profitability by cutting costs before moving on to work elsewhere. As an interim measure he suggested his retired father, Lucien, may help out temporarily at Meadow Stables in his place. And the rest as they say is racehorse history.
